"NEW Perfect Perimeter Weighted wedges make shots dead on the flag almost too easy"

By Dennis Burkey

“Hey, you’ve got to get out here and see this!

You have never seen a wedge head do this!”

That’s my partner Dan Bennett - the excitable one – yelling at me from our shop.  Dan knows more about club design than anybody I have ever known.

“What is it this time Dan?”

“No – get out here – you have to see it to believe it.”

I was really surprised.  He had the new wedge heads from DeTomaso Golf lined up sitting upright on their soles.

The 52 degree Approach wedge, the 56 degree Sand wedge and the 60 degree Lob wedge were on his bench sitting upright!  I grabbed our camera and took the pictures.

Dan oversees all of our club production and he knows a lot more about head design, center of gravity on a head, moment of inertia and weight distribution than I ever will but even I immediately got it.  To simply put a wedge head on the table and have it sit on the sole without instantly toppling over means the lower flange (the sole) has to extend back from the face an extreme amount.  You can see it in the pictures.

If the bottom flange is extended back that far it means the center of gravity for the head is much farther from the face and a lot lower.

Is that a Big Deal?  You bet it is!  Here’s why-

A lower and farther back center of gravity on any club helps immensely.  On a wedge it saves countless strokes.  It makes a wedge shots incredibly easy – the only advice you need with these wedges is: let the club do the work.  An easy swing, not trying to force it, brings fantastic success with these DeTomaso Rapido wedges!

Let’s face it.  It’s from a hundred yards in that we make most of our mistakes.  We hit a wedge a bit chunky, a bit thin, a bit fat, out on the toe and boy do we ever pay for it!

But put the center of gravity as low as possible and as far back from the head as possible and the club fixes our mis-hits!  That is exactly what these new wedge heads from DeTomaso Golf do.  Even with a mis-hit, the DeTomaso Rapido wedge still gets the ball up with every bit as much carry (or ‘air time’ as they call it now).  PLUS, the DeTomaso Rapido wedges bring the ball around for us on those off center or toe shots that would otherwise would be way off the green.

As far back as possible, as low as possible
No other wedge head can do this

I asked Dan if there are any other wedge heads on the market that can “stand up” the way these DeTomaso Rapido wedge heads can.  If you took the heads off their shafts, most iron heads would “stand up” through the 5 iron head.  Some can “stand up” through the 6 or 7 head.  One or two head designs maybe through the nine iron.  None that he knows of all the way through the Approach (or Gap wedge) let alone through the Sand Wedge and Lob wedge!

If you have ever mis-hit your Approach wedge, your Sand wedge or your Lob wedge you absolutely must get your hands on a set of these Detomaso Rapido wedges.  They are so easy to hit!  They do all the work for you!

Tested and Approved by my partner - Dan Bennett and by me - Dennis Burkey

You will never buy a club from us that Dan does not approve!  Believe me, Dan runs a club through the wringer before we ever even think of offering it to you!  Plus, I then give it my own “trial by fire” before we even consider a club.

Matched to the Best Shaft
Then we went one better.  Dan and I bought shafts for this phenomenal wedge from Mr. Masaki Ito at Kinjura shafts.  Dan and I would never use some crummy second rate shaft on any club that leaves here.  The steel shafts we buy from Kinjura are without a doubt, among the very finest in the golf industry.  We use the Kinjura SORA shaft for these wedges.  Masaki Ito and his company make a quality shaft like nobody else!

OR – if you prefer a graphite shaft for your DeTomaso wedges, we will build them with the state of the art, Kinjura High Launch Platform Graphite shaft.  There is simply no better graphite shaft anywhere on earth!

We will match your DeTomaso Rapido wedge head to the Kinjura SORA shaft in the flex you choose.  Although we can do Senior or Lady’s flex as well as Regular and Stiff, my partner Dan advises you step up to either R (regular flex) or even S (stiff flex).  Dan believes that a wedge should have a bit stiffer flex than your other clubs because a firmer shaft will promote a higher degree of club head feel for you.  I think Dan’s absolutely right on that BUT it is still your call as to flex of the shaft.

You get a GREAT BARGAIN at this ultra low price!

The DeTomaso Rapido Wedge is a bargain at its very reasonable suggested retail price of $127.50.  But Dan and I are so enthusiastic about this wedge design we committed to buy 500 sets of this head.  Obviously, DeTomaso heads come in small batches – they are not some big assembly line company – there is a lot of work done by hand on all their heads.  As soon as they make a batch of these wedge heads, we get them.  For a small, super high quality company like DeTomaso Golf, 500 sets is a nice chunk of business!  So we were able to negotiate a really good price for these heads.  Dan and I want to pass that savings right back you.  $100.00 would be a terrific bargain for the strokes you will save with this wedge - $90.00 would be a bargain price you would jump at!   A price of 80.00 would put it in the “This is a steal,” category.  That is why we decided on a price even lower!  We made them a knock-your-socks-off bargain you just can’t pass up.

Here goes:
Any one DeTomaso Rapido wedge in the Kinjura Steel shaft  :            $53.00
Your second DeTomaso Rapido wedge in the Kinjura Steel shaft:      $47.00
Your third DeTomaso Rapido wedge in the Kinjura Steel shaft:            $39.00

That means you can have a set of three of these incredible wedges with the Kinjura Sora Steel shaft for only $139.00 !

Or, we will also use the Kinjura High launch platform, grade one graphite shaft if you prefer – at an equally bargain price:

Any one DeTomaso Rapido wedge in the Kinjura Graphite shaft  :                  $ 63.00
Your second DeTomaso Rapido wedge in the Kinjura Graphite shaft:              $ 59.00
Your third DeTomaso Rapido wedge in the Kinjura Graphite shaft:                 $55.00

That means you can have a set of three of these incredible wedges with the Kinjura High Launch Graphite shaft for only $177.00 !

Try these wedges. Save strokes! At this price, how can you pass it up? This is truly “cost plus a tiny fraction” pricing.
